Food waste is sometimes called the final frontier of the environmental movement.

To The Core is a hypothetical food festival intended to inspire people to cook while simultaneously educating them in the prevention of food waste. This festival will take you on the journey through how food is produced, packaged, sold, and disposed of.

The recipes featured in this cookbook are curated to transform ingredients that would have otherwise been sent to landfill.

Logo design for Pyrrhic Productions, a video production company based in Jersey City, New Jersey. It is part of Arts on the Hudson, a nonprofit that aims to promote and bring art classes to the broader Hudson County area.

Pyrrhic Productions has worked with prominent actors Brandon Flynn and Shyrley and local bands Cook Thugless, Murdock, and Jonny Wolf.

This book is meant to be a satirical, interactive take on environmental issues that humans have contributed to. Overall, it aims to raise awareness for the cyclical nature of how humans have impacted the environment and have therefore negatively impacted themselves as well.

Rather than a table of contents, readers are able to “choose their own disaster” depending on which topic they’re interested in (oceans, animals, humans, etc.). Throughout the book, readers discover different situations of how humans have affected the environment and themselves.

Readers are instructed to turn to other pages. No matter where you start, eventually, you end up on the last page, which reveals a group of people with the caption, “start over; turn back to first page.”

Mock visual identity for the Tarnowskie Góry Lead-Silver-Zinc Mine. The mine is located in Upper Silesia, in southern Poland, one of the main mining areas of central Europe, the site includes the entire underground mine with adits, shafts, galleries and water management system.

The lines breaking up the logo and the variations in the color palette are meant to mimic the visual features of the underground tunnels.

Selected spreads from a book design based on the miraculous survival of Phineas Gage, a construction worker who survived a tamping rod that went through his head, but displayed personality and behavioral changes following the incident.

This data was compiled from the Real Estate section from the Sunday, Sept. 3rd, 2017 issue of the New York Times. It is meant to display a correlation between the properties listed for sale and the adjectives and phrases used to describe them. The chart features the data from fourteen house listings and thirteen apartment listings that were recorded.

smog refugees

This piece that was inspired by Geoffrey Hendricks, a FLUXUS artist. Hendricks’ work was very absurdist in nature and a lot of his performances and pieces related heavily to the sky. Following these two themes, I designed a satirical cookbook based on some cities with the worst instances of air pollution. These recipes have the standard components of most cookbooks, but feature cynical, dark language that corresponds to the individual locations featured.

The images are all photographs of common kitchen items. Overlayed over them are scenes of pollution and different dirty textures.

POSTER SYSTEM | 2016

These posters were created to created a system in which to showcase the elements of the Periodic Table. Each element is represented visually by a drink based on its chemical properties. For example, the more volatile elements are stronger, and tend to be alcoholic. Less volatile elements can be tamer drinks, such as tea.
